I am truly passionate about transforming lives and leveling the playing for all students, faculty/staff, and the community. This is my life's calling and my life's work. Transforming lives from an equity and justice lens is where I prefer to spend my time and how I am determined to effect change to improve the human condition.

I ascribe to the experiential learning, critical thinking, and social, racial, & economic justice tenets most championed by John Dewey, W.E.B. DuBois, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I believe that Higher Education has to encompass experience and education and critical thinking that empowers individuals to live of a life of purpose, while leveling the playing field for all students from an equity and justice lens. Students have to be at the Center of the work towards equity: social, racial, and economic justice for all students, especially minoritized students of color who have been historically left at the margins.
